Agatha Christie Box Set

Art Instructor: Scott Laserow

Institute: Tyler School of Art and Architecture, Temple University

The goal of this project was to experiment with the use of imagery and an illustration style to recreate three Agatha Christies book covers as a part of a box set. While the books are unrelated to one another they all had to feel apart of the same set and author. I used large filled shapes, color and texture in contrast with a lighter, thin line to create illustrations of the “crime scenes” from each novel and this created a consistent style among the three books. For the box I combined different images and illustrations from each and ut them on a dark back ground to continue the dark almost mysterious aesthetic.
