Vienna by Billy Joel, Illustrated

This is Billy Joel’s song Vienna illustrated in book format. As the song relates to the idea of time and slowing down I chose to use imagery and a limited color palette relating to stop lights. I wanted to use a mix of photographic imagery and bold type choices to try and convey the feelings and emotions this song is about. The type is very active and expressive throughout the spreads in reference to the tone shifts and emphasis through the music.
